We were going to wait until Mother’s Day for this one, but we’ve been dying to say “Fuck yeah, Erma Bombeck”, so here it is.

Erma Bombeck was born in Bellbrook, Ohio. She was a newspaper reporter, a hugely popular humorist, with many best selling books to her credit, and a frequent television personality. 

We may just be a bunch of jaded urban hipsters around these parts, but her articles can still bring a tear to our eyes and give us a chuckle at the same time. Not bad for someone who wrote about motherhood and suburban family life.
