It can be difficult to work up a proper “fuck yeah” for someone who looks so dour, but no one with a sunny personality would have inspired great authors like Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner and John Steinbeck, like Sherwood Anderson did.

Anderson’s best known work, Winesburg, Ohio, was based on his time living in Clyde* and is widely recognized as a modern classic.
