Standing in that pose and wearing that tie while still being a total badass. Yeah… That’s John Glenn for you.

Remember how I said it’s impossible to listen to Boston’s “More Than a Feeling” without it getting stuck in your head

I stand corrected. You just have to listen to it a little differently.

A fellow Ohioan who goes by the name St. Paul At The End Of The World took “More Than a Feeling” and remixed it slowed… way… down, until it’s an ambient waterfall of goodness called “More Than More Than a Feeling”.

It may no longer get stuck in your head at this glacial speed, but it is fucking awesome, so cancel your party plans for the next 20 minutes and grab your headphones.

Bonus: Paul’s Extreme Sound Stretch is Free Software, so you can stretch your own tunes.

Forget Seattle. If you like coffee, it’s all about Columbus, Ohio.

Watch it, pal. That’s an Ohio Art product you’re tossing around. Show it some respect.

I hope you’re ready to get some rock’n’roll stuck in your head.

I don’t know where Falling Still is “officially” from, but two thirds of the band is from Akron, Ohio.

There must be something in the water in Akron, because that little city just keeps cranking out big swaggering rock.

Bonus: Falling Still’s bassist Brett helped Mark Frauenfelder move some heavy crap. (BoingBoing)

Don’t waste your downtime hanging out in the hotel. Check out Dispatch.com for all the best places to have a good time near the Arena District in Columbus.

And Columbus followers, where would you send an out-of-towner looking for a good time?

Oh, so this is why there were so many people wondering around my neighborhood today.

I’ll second that.

Your humble host’s neighborhood gets some well deserved love from Urban Times, check it:

“During a pleasant stroll along a single street, you can chow down on Asian crepes, pumpkin chili, coconut soup, Slop V(egan) Joe and other zesty, local interpretations of comfort food. We’re not talking NYC, L.A. or London, but the Short North Arts District, a Columbus, Ohio neighborhood being revitalized by community-centered capitalism.”
