IT'S COMFEST WEEKEND! →
It’s that time of year when a bunch of aging hippies, and pretty much everyone else, converges on Goodale Park, in Columbus, Ohio to listen to a few stages worth of awesome bands, drink beer out of comedically large mugs, walk around without any shirts on, eat cheese-on-a-stick and generally have a good time.

This is Defiance, Ohio with their song “Hair Pool”.
Despite the name, they’re actually from Columbus, Ohio.
I just heard about this band about an hour ago, no joking, so all I know is that they keep up an ambitious tour schedule and the kids really seem to like them.
I swear, this kind of enthusiasm is contagious, even if it (especially if?) it’s a cacophonous mess.

Stop what you’re doing and kick a few bucks to Columbus’ own Earwig, so you can download a copy of their new album.
It sounds fucking huge, but don’t take my word for it, give it a listen now.
They’re no flash in the pan either. ”Used Kids”, a song about the legendary Columbus music store, used to get a lot of radio play.
